Creating a MariaDB (MySQL) database

Create a database and user in the panel and import via phpMyAdmin.

MariaDB is a MySQL-compatible database: sites built for MySQL (WordPress, Laravel and others) run on it unchanged.

Create a database

  1. In the panel open “DB” and click “Add database”.
  2. Enter the database name, user and password. An account prefix is added to the name and login automatically — note the full names.
  3. Save.

Connecting from your site

host: localhost
database: prefix_db
user: prefix_user
password: ••••••••

Import a database

  1. In “DB”, click the phpMyAdmin link next to the database.
  2. Select the database → “Import” → choose the .sql file → “Go”.

Large files (hundreds of MB) are better imported over SSH:

mysql -u prefix_user -p prefix_db < dump.sql
